Indigenous Staff Scholarships Sweden for Aboriginal


The Scholarships Sweden successful applicant can take 12 months leave from their jobs to study full time in their chosen fields. They receive up to $ 23,600 as living expenses and up to $ 11,800 for tuition fees and student contribution amount for this year. Figures are indexed each year.

Scholarships Sweden will be awarded on merit against the selection criteria outlined in this website.Priority guidance given to staff at the graduate level who have never received customary Staff Scholarship. However, interested Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff to study at the undergraduate level are also invited to apply.Scholarships Sweden recipients will be selected by the Minister of Tertiary Education with the advice from the Indigenous Higher Education Advisory Council.

Majesties Scholarships Sweden and RTG Fellowships

India Scholarship Sweden National Geoscience Awards


The Scholarship Sweden program is aimed at individuals and teams of scientists for their outstanding achievements and outstanding contribution in the field of earth sciences honor basic applied /, mining and related areas, provide an incentive for the pursuit of excellence. Any citizen of India who is eligible for a qualified professional geo-scientists / engineers / technicians / Academician significant contribution in all areas of the geosciences.

The
Scholarship Sweden Department of Mines invites applications for individuals / team of earth scientists / engineers and technologists / scientists meritorious contributions in the field of fundamental or applied geosciences, mining and related fields seen to provide an incentive for the pursuit of excellence.

The prize includes a cash prize of Rs 50,000 a certificate, a citation and a trophy.

Young Investigator Award: This
Scholarship Sweden is a single award for research in all fields of geosciences researchers / scientists from universities, scientific institutions and experts

Eligibility: Any citizen of India who is a qualified professional geo-scientists and technologists, engineers / ademicians with a significant contribution in one of the fields in Article 3 of the Regulation shall be eligible for national awards Geoscience.

2011 China Postgraduate Scholarship Sweden


In commemoration of the invaluable contributions made by the late philanthropist Mr Tan Kah Kee, in the field of education, the Tan Kah Kee Foundation has been awarding Postgraduate Scholarship Sweden since 1983. The Scholarship Sweden are open to Singapore citizens and permanent residents who are pursuing full-time Master degree or PhD in any discipline, regardless of race or religion. Candidates are appraised on their academic achievements, outstanding personal character and bilingual capabilities. The Scholarship Sweden will be awarded annually and is bond-free. In line with the spirit of the late Mr Tan Kah Kee’s unfailing community commitment, the importance of contribution to the community cannot be over-emphasized. Not only should the recipients of the award excel in their field of study, but also they should concern for their countrymen and the willingness to serve the community. Many past award recipients are now back in Singapore and working in universities and various research institutes, as well as in private and public sectors in Singapore, actively contributing to the development of the nation. The Scholarship Sweden application is open in May every year. Shortlisted applicants will be informed to attend an interview in the month of June or July. Scholarship Sweden amount for those studying in overseas or local universities are S$10,000 & S$7,000 respectively.

PhD Student Position Scholarships Sweden within the ATLAS Experiment, Sweden


The Uppsala ATLAS group is part of the High Energy Physics group at the Department of Physics and Astronomy, and currently consists of three faculty members, one post-doctor and three graduate students. http://www4.tsl.uu.se/~Atlas/index.html.

We are looking for an excellent and highly motivated students with an interest in experimental physics and know-how in data analysis programs (eg C + + and root). The PhD student will work on the physical analysis of ATLAS data and distributed to the development of analysis tools on the network needed for this purpose.

The PhD position is funded for four years, extendible to a maximum of five years including department duties at a level of at most 20% (typically teaching). After more than 20 years of planning and accumulation of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN in Geneva is now in operation for one year, marks a very exciting program detailed investigations microcosm. MIT-Zaragoza Western and Northern European Logistics Scholarship

The Zaragoza Logistics Center Scholarship currently provides a number of scholarships each year for students of the MIT-Zaragoza Master of Engineering in Logistics & Supply Chain Management (ZLOG) program.
Through this scholarship, the Foundation hopes to attract outstanding future leaders from Western & Northern European countries. Candidates will be expected to show extraordinary potential for leadership and professional success, bringing new vision and commitment to the area of Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

Coverage Details:

The scholarship covers 50% tuition for the MIT-Zaragoza Master of Engineering in Logistics & Supply Chain Management (ZLOG) program. The full tuition for the academic year 2011-12 amounts to 21,500€.
The scholarship will not include other costs such as the administrative fee, living or travel expenses to Zaragoza or to Boston for the international exchange.

Eligibility Details:

Scholarships are awarded only to students who have been admitted to the MIT-Zaragoza Master of Engineering in Logistics & Supply Chain Management (ZLOG) program through the Foundation’s regular admissions procedure.

PhD positions Social Sciences, University Amsterdam

In the Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS) of VU University Amsterdam, the PhD Programme is embedded in the Faculty Research Centre CCSS (Centre for Comparative Social Studies). The department of Political Sciences has a PhD position. The other position will be at the University of Antwerp. Tasks Both PhD students will conduct research in the context of a collaborative research program that studies recent social policy innovations and developments on social inequality in small, advanced European welfare states. Traditional welfare states have been evolving towards “activating welfare states” or “social investment states”, emphasizing above all labour market participation as a social goal. What have been the major policy developments in the past decades? What have been the differences in developments in various countries? What are the effects (e.g. in terms of inequality) of such innovations? The PhD student in Antwerp will concentrate on gathering comparative data and on a quantitative analysis of these data. The PhD student in Amsterdam focuses on the comparative analysis of social policy innovations.
Description

Applicants should have a (research) Master degree with very good grades in one of the Social Sciences. Applicants must have a demonstrable affinity with doing scientific research and be proficient in written and spoken English. Applicants should be highly motivated, can work well independently as well as in small teams, and have excellent communication and social skills.

Of these two positions one will be posted in Antwerp and one will be employed in Amsterdam. For the one at VU University Amsterdam, a contract of employment is offered initially for a period of 12 months, to be extended to a total period of four years conditional upon a positive evaluation after the first year. The four-year contract period must be concluded with the completion of a doctoral dissertation. Part-time employment is possible (with a minimum of 80%, i.e. 5 years). Fully detailed information about employment conditions can be found on www.workingatvu.nl The PhD student in Amsterdam will receive intensive supervision and take part in the courses and other activities of the CCSS PhD Programme. In addition, the PhD student will be enrolled in the national research school for Public Administration and Political Science (NIG). Both PhD students will be coached in getting their work published in academic journals and books. The PhD students also participate in the national and international research networks in which the research groups of the FSS are active and participate in academic conferences. Finally, PhD students have a limited teaching task. The salary is based on the salary scales for academic staff. The salary in the first year amounts to € 2.042,- gross per month, increasing to € 2.612,- gross per month in the fourth year, based on full-time employment.
